How Big Do Bengal Cats Get?

When my mom mentions she is a Bengal cat owner, she is always asked about my size and weight in comparison to other breeds. People assume because tigers are huge that I am too.  They are surprised to find out that when I am full grown, I weigh between 8 to 15 pounds just like the average domestic short hair tabby cat.

Typically the male Bengal is larger than the female Bengal which is true in my family. I weight 15 pounds while my sister Cheddar weighs a measly eight pounds.  On average most boy Bengals weigh in at 10 to 15 pounds and most females weigh 7 to 10 pounds.

Bengals can look bigger than other breeds because their lean, athletic bodies are long.Bengals will also gain weight without exercise, like most cats.
